I have linksbox on my XBOX that I can access through XBMC but it doesn't show any javascript or backgrounds so the pages are a few pictures and lots of text. I wondered if newer XBMC versions had a web browser integrated or if there was a newer version of linksbox that I can download without huge hassel (like finding a direct download for an X2 BIOS).

SPPV where are you? lol
Right here :D
Linksboks cant use Java but Firefox can. Since you have a 1.6 Gentoox, Xebian and Xbuntu are out due to the scaler chip in the 1.6 XBOX but you can run XDSL. Use the latest AID to install it, run it and right away click to update and it will update your Java and Flash Player. Id recomend either wiring a USB in via port 4 or using a controller to female USB adapter and plugging in a wireless Logitech keyboard and mouse (it should pick it up right away) as its much easier to navigate Knoppix than with a controller and on screen keyboard

I don't use the internet much anyway...I almost never have it connected to anything. Maybe when I've finished clearing my drives up :S
