Release Notes:
Another 12 months have passed, so its indeed time for a new update of AID.
A whole lot of updates for the Emulators are included in this release, as well as
the latest XBMC stuff. SID v5.11 has now been included.
The "Lite" version doesnt contain emulators, rom install options, and also has the Anod-X and Avalaunch dashboards removed.
I tried to download the torrent file of AID 4.53 and could not get a working ISO. Winrar pretends nothing is wrong and produces files that do not work. 7zip says the file ending in .00 is corrupt and that the iso is bad. I tried the torrent files from both http://www.aidtracker.com/ and http://www.aideluxe.com/index.php?title=Downloads
The filefactory website just sends me around in circles chasing my tail. Is there a free working copy of this program available anywhere? Is the version that requires a VIP membership actually working?

Winrar is not pretending nothing is wrong, you just cant view the ISO file normally since its in a certain file format for Xbox. You'd need either C-Xbox Tool, UltraISO or something similar to actually view the files.
Just burn the ISO file to a DVD and you should be fine.

Hello,
First of all I want to thank everyone involved in this project. It makes my life easier haha.
however, I'm having some trouble, hope someone out there can help me out.
I downloaded all the files for AID v4.53, and when it finishes unraring, there is no ISO or ISO updater in the folder, however everything else is there. I checked with the MD5 and it says the manual is missing...however it is not missing in the file. Says nothing about the ISO.
Should I retry downloading it or am I missing something?

I fixed it, I'm an idiot, I forgot to download the original RAR at the bottom, haha. Thanks anyways and keep the good work coming!

i used the VIP FTP server and got AID4.53 I was reading the manual and got to the romset thing. i put all the roms together and zip them. i then take that zip and paste it in the "roms" folder. i THEN take the "roms" folder and paste it in the "files" folder. I THEN right click on the "files" folder and winrar it.. is this correct.? also.. what should the zip file be called? whatever romset filename is?? just a little confused on the what to name the rar and zip files. also, do i put all the NES roms in one; Files>roms>nes.zip; and then all the SNES roms in another; Files>roms>snes.zip?? this might sound dumb but i just need clearification. thanks in advance... OH ONE MORE THING. i actually hardmodded my xbox with an executer2 chip a couple years back and a buddy of mine used a slayer evox 2.6 disc... i think... can i use this AID4.53 to upgrade my stuff... i ACTUALLY got this to help out my brother with softmodding his xbox.. any information would be greatly apprciated. thanks again!

Very likely it is because the main AID (www.aideluxe.com) web site was shut down a long time ago now. There was an AID archive site with some working downloads but I've just tried finding that and it too seems to have disappeared.
Whether the 'VIP Download' option here works I have no idea. With original Xbox stuff it is more than a bit cheeky expecting to pay just to find out.
Anyway if you Google Auto Instaler Deluxe downloads you should easily find a good source for both Full and Lite versions. TBH there is not much difference. The Lite version is just minus some Addon packs and a few other things which will likely be unimportant to most users.
Also look out for HeXEn, 2016 Softmodding Tool Extra Disc and various other Xbox modding toolsets created much more recently and, by some, considered better than AID.
I'm still an AID fan; I recently did my first ever virgin new (SATA) HDD upgrade on a chipped Xbox using an AID 4.53 Lite disc, It worked perfectly, handheld from start to finish in just a few minutes. But if I were a noob I'd be going for one of those others as they're set up by default to be better protected, particularly important for softmods.

I'm even asking for any money made from sales so be given to me. I'll keep a portion of it for myself for my work, then donate the rest back to HQ.
