i dont have an FTP setup so my only choice is a cd installer.
can i just put the files on a cd or dvd and have it recognize it? i just modded it and i wanna play it >.>

Try using Auto Installer Deluxe, it has all the latest emulators and cool applications on it. You can download it at AIDeluxe.com, thanks to DJB for putting together such a great thing! _________________

sweeeeet i ended up getting it modded @ like 230 this morning
dont mind the late install but whew i will be glad if another mod does not give me that much grief, which is like asking if everything in life is free. i remember similar pains with my psp
the only easy one was my dreamcast, and that is because it is one of the sega-made backdoor consoles, so i just pop in CD-R and it plays the game no problem lol i got luck there

Unfortunatly, no there isn't, but there are emulators for almost everything else, haha. Nintendo 64, GameBoy Advanced, Super Nintendo, Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Sega Master System, Atari 7800. And lots more, haha. _________________

Yes, it is possible to save XBox games onto the hard drive once the mod is installed, its also possible to play DVD Backups, but only when the mod is installed. _________________

is there a special program i need to burn backups, or do i just make an ISO and burn like a PSX or DC game with nero burning rom or discjuggler

If your talking about burning things like PS1 games and video's then any program. If your talking about XBox Backup's then I would use CloneCD. Works really well for me. _________________

i tried A.I.D and it reset my interface, and it didnt let me install the files.
right now the emu files are in X because there isnt a EMU folder, and i tried games folder with all the folders, i had a ftp connection earlier, but it was very brief, long story lol
is there i can move the folders to the correct folder in the xbox interface

I would reccomend going FTP, it is possible to make a data disc, but FTP is way more easy. And AID just fits onto a disc and it installs everything for you. You know that right? _________________

lets say i insert a dvd with raw data such as my back up psx titles. if i use just a raw data disc and ISO files (after the dash is loaded) will i be able to play said titles? or will it need cd detection?
also when i inserted the auto installer deluxe to the xbox, it froze, and in when inserted after dashboard load, it froze @ the AId load screen, and i made sure to insert a dummy load file in the aid disc i had created
