first things first, howdy XBOXHQ. im relatively late to the scene, but all the willing to get into the modding process.
so here's my problem, and please dont judge the n00bish behaviour, only as it is because i suck at win7, i am quite proficient with xp, but really don't wanna downgrade i guess.
ive got my original xbox controller setup in 64bit version of windows 7 using tigergame (it dosent recognize the left thumbstick, but im not going to be using it for much pc play anyways), now all i need is the memory card to be recognized, wondering if anyone knew how to do this? i have a copy of the XBMEM from red cl0ud, if that helps. i also have the AR software installed, and it still wont recognize it....help plz?

I had the same problem as you. and that fixed it for me. 64-bit is always a bad OS when trying to attempt task's meant for a 32-bit operating system. Did you use the newest 64-bit drivers? _________________

yeah everything that needs to be is, and i tried tried xplorer360, still didn't recognize my memory card.
i wish i had another version besides HOMEPRE, as the xp enviroment update isnt for that.
everything i ran, i ran in test mode with uac off and with no internet, anti viruses, nothing running.
i gave up on XBCD because it wouldnt recognize the controller, maybe thats where i need to go back to, but i remember it recognized it, but it still had the yellow caution sign in device manager next to the controller.
maybe i just keep getting the wrond driver .exe's or something

googled it looked for x64 compatible versions and i got beta 6
if you can link me to a newer version that might work that would be great. im new to xbox modding but i got other modded systems, so im not a stranger to lurking the net for random little things i need but this has just been one thing after the other lol i hope the actual modding process is much easier lol. does the splinter cell exploit still work? cause thats the one im gonna use, there isnt very many stores out here that sell video games and i was lucky to find a bootable version of SC (its not a greatest hits)
thanks for you help man ive been trying to wrap my head around this and everytime i do i get falcon punched by the interwebz lol.

Hahaha, its allright bro its all fine. Yeah you seem to have the latest version, I honestly think that a XPort would work great in your case, or a legit action replay. That way you could access the FATX drive with correct 64-bit drivers and what not. Do you happen to have a 32-bit computer you could use for this task/operation? _________________

i was afraid of having to downgrade, its okay though, its just a couple days of "wasting" dvds to back up 150gbs and organizing a bunch of unorganized folders ive been neglecting.
im have a new laptop, which was why i really wanted to make this work, but it just dosent seem possible. im not even sure if my new hardware will even be compatible with XP, i hope it is, xp was an awesome os, i guess i could just re-purchase win7 at a later time.
i'm pretty sure i'll have everything to get it running in xp, but if anyone has a tutorial or something for win7 x64 they could post before i actually start migrating to data dvd, you would save me alot of money and time. my external HDD is still full from the last time i upgraded...so thats out of the question...
edit****
its been about a year since i've been on a xp run system, is there any certain anti viruses i should run? right now i run the new windows security and avast!, and those seem to work well, but im not sure i want to run these in xp

Have you ever considered trying a Virtual Machine so you don't have to downgrade? _________________

half the reason i dont wish to downgrade is that this is the new OS and i wanna get used to it ahead of the previous curve, i think i used win98 till like 2005 then i used xp up until last year LOL
btw i edited my last post, you might wanna check that, its a screen shot of my device manager, with XBCD installed, maybe we can figure it out from that, probly not, but i figured wat the heck

Yeah, try right clicking the Memory Card Device, and Uninstalling the Device. _________________
