Hi all, Great site so far, I'm VERY new to xbox modding and need a little help here's my problem
My xbox is modded but i don't know what chip is in it. All
I know is when you hold in the small button the console comes on and in the top left corner it says "Nordic Import" with some small picture.
Problem is it had the EvolutionX dashboard and now it's gone lol. No idea how or why but I can't get the machine to boot using the "Auto-Installer.Deluxe.v4.50". But I can get it to boot my friends xbox so at least I know the disk I made works
What happens when you boot it up, does it just show a blank screen ?
Some xbox DVD drives are fussy as to what media they will read, try burning the Auto Installer to DVD-r or check to see if your media is compatible with your drive type : http://www.xbox-hq.com/html/modules.php?name=Xbox_Compatibility _________________
Will it still boot burned media - any burned media ?
Its odd for evox to just vanish, usually it shows a basic menu if things get screwed up.
Can you borrow the DVD rom from your mates system, just to try to boot the AID disc ?
Did you try a different DVD brand ? it may work on your mates but that doesnt mean itll work on yours, did you check the media compatibility i linked in my previous post ? _________________
Hiya , It still plays burned media games/movies
I tried the dvd rom AID disk and it comes up and says it doesn't recognize it and it does the same when i try the same AID disk in cr rom format's
I also checked your link and i've used around 8 or 9 disks so far nothing seems to work..it's really weird. If i could get it to boot off the dvd rom i could reinstall the dashboard. Pity theres no one on this site from Brum lol
it won;t let me ftp and i don't have a memory card neither does my friend. Never seen nothing like it lol

You said your aid disc worked in your buddies and not yours, try swaping the drive with your buddies drive and see if it boots up then. Then if it dosnt boot up you will at least know that its not the drive or the disc.

exactly.. or you could try burning to another brand of media which has already been tested with the drive..

I'll check that link again and have a good look at the compatibility list
