I had originally awhile back softmodded my Xbox with AIO with EvoX dashboard and later installed XBMC. Well I found that I barely if ever used the EvoX dashboard as mainly we use this Xbox as a media server, occasionally booting the MAME emulator or a stored game. Well XBMC does all of this and I could skip the step of booting, then scrolling down to just open XBMC. Did some research, try some tricks on the XBMC site to just make a shortcut to tell it to boot correctly instead of EvoX, kept failing and booting Evo anyhow. Then I found out about XBMCID and thought it was the answer to my prayers.
I downloaded the 1.20 disk, threw in the add-ons for the scripts and bios just in case, burnt it and stuck it in the system. Was so happy I ran right into the one-click install... waited... waited... told me to reboot so I let the system shut off, booted it and it went right back to the XBMCID screen. Realized I never took out the disk, so ejected it, restarted the system again... and it booted to the XBMCID screen without the disk in it this time. Figured I did something wrong so went and decided to do the Bios flash first this time, gave me errors saying it couldn't find it though I swear I added it to the disk, no problem though. When to Softmod Menu, made sure the Virtual C was unmounted just in case, then formatted the disk as Large HDD (it's an 80gb) and prepared both the E and F drives. Went back to Auto-Install, let it do it's thing, after it finished I made sure to eject the disk, rebooted.... and back to XBMCID menu. Tried going down to Softmod, Single-Boot, ejected disk, rebooted... and getting same error.
What did I do wrong? @_@
