RELEASE NOTES:
Welcome to the latest version of Xbox Media Center (XBMC) Installer Deluxe.
This version has had a massive update with 12 new Skins added. Some of these (I think) are for the PC version of XBMC, but hopefully should work fine. If any of the skins fail to work properly, just let me know.
Please also keep in mind that some skins (like Xperience) are only in early beta stages, however I still decided to include them into the XBMCID installer now rather than later, as in time I'm sure these skins will reach a final release point and be very efficient.
The current skins also went through a big update stage, which justifies the Full ISO Release again this time (the update pack would have been around 250mb on its own just with these updates alone).
Unlike previous versions, you WILL need to use a DVD to burn this, as it will be too big for a normal CD.

Thx for keeping up the great work. i have 2 soft modded xboxes that have become devices almost used as much as the tvs. Im looking to buy 2 more real cheap and put in the other bedrooms so we can stream to any room. This dvd will make it easy to get those upto date. Im wondering how usable some of those NEW skins that seem to be tailored to xbmc (PC). Are these the official skins or the modded xbox skins? I know some skins offer both.

Some of them are officiail. This is wher I got all the new skins:
The only skin that was modified to work with the Xbos was Confluence.

Thx I think some of them used to make a xbox ver. Transparency used to on a older ver but I see now it dont offer a xbox ver with scaled down pics. I will give it a try and see what happens since I have different builds/ skins I can always ftp a older ver of a skin over if i have issues.

Cool, let me know if there is any major issues with any of them. If they dont work I'll remove them.

When i try to install skins i get Error 3 unzipping issue. any ideas?

basically now after one click install I get XBMC INSTALLER logo then Blank screen. I can load the AID disk from boot but if I let it boot normal after logo its blank.
Any ideas what i can do?? Maybe a bad disk burn?? I didnt get any errors when Installin softmod or XBMC. Only if I try to install a skin do i get a error.

Resolved:
I put AID disk back in and wen to
XBMC SKINS SECTION
Install to E drive
Install all Skins
Problem solved.
Not sure why I couldnt see anything or install skins from other page.

after installing, i get the xbmc splash screen.. the screen then goes completely blank.. when i hit the dpad i can hear it moving and selecting items... it must be a problem with the skin.. what is the default skin?

got it resolve.. not sure what it was. it wasn't a problem with the skin. when i get to the black screen, i hit R2 and the SysInfo/Shutdown menu comes up. I went to System Info and takes me to the system info screen in settings. I then went to home screen and reboot. Everything came up fine afterwards

Anyone else having trouble with the XBMC Installer Deluxe V.2 ISO coming up with a CRC failure when trying to unRAR or unzip (7zip) the ISO file from the xbmcid12.rar file. I have downloaded the torrent twice now on 2 differents computers (XP and Vista). I am currently downloading the mediafire version and will try that. This is really starting to bug me as I need this to work as I can't seem to make my Xecuter 3CE FTP function correctly (no it's not a settings issue). Help!

I dont use torrents so i dont know if they're buggy but try to download directly from servers with software that tells you is there crc check ok.
btw.
Is this release is setted up to work with pc-dvdroms automatically? Now i have release from 1Q 2009 and needed make xml file.

You dont extract the ISO using those programs for starters, just burn it to a dvd.

First off I solved my problems by downloading the regular AID and got XBMC that way and it works. I love XBMC!
Just for the record I was following the XBMCID manual to the letter. The downloads come in winRAR's and per the manual you need to extract xbmcid12.rar which does contain the iso. When winRAR hits this file I most certainly get a file that winRAR x64 3.9 reports as CRC error-corrupt file. You can try to copy and paste but it must first still extract or un-RAR the file. I never tried the mediafire version because as mentioned I grabbed the AID V4.5 and mediafire wants $ to grab all files. If I was doing something wrong then I would be glad to hear and someone needs to correct the manual a little. I did find it hard to believe that no one else posted with similar issues.
Now it's time I'm off to self-educate how to create update packs, thumbs, and in general get the most from XBMC.
