Well you have two options.

1: Become a VIP member and get the new SID 5.10 from here:http://www.xbox-hq.com/html/postt25129.html. This has a USB version of the softmod which has XBMC on it. Only do this however if you have a USB to xbox controller setup and a usb thumb drive formatted to the xboxes xfat.

2. This is the one you will most likely do. If you want to softmod the memory card way then you can either get SID 5.10 that I posted above or you can get SID 5.01 for free from here:www.aidtracker.com. Softmod the xbox and then download xbmc installer deluxe from the aidtracker link. Then use that to install XBMC for you.

To download the files off the aidtracker you will have to have a torrent program set up such as utorrent.

Anymore questions just ask away.

Im trying to softmod it with a copy of splinter cell i got hold of
The process is stalling at the start tho - trying to use usbview to change drivers on my usb sticks so that i can add game saves to xbox this was
Everythings in place, got action replay, usbview, etc, but everytime i get a stick sorted the xbox just erases them-tried my maxell, sandisk, and 2 unbranded ones
Am i gonna have to get an official mem stick..?

If you plug the thumb drive to the xbox and go to the memory section of the dashboard. When you click on the thumb drive it should ask you if you want the xbox to format it.

It doesnt
Heres what im doing:
Putting the game saves onto the usb stick, then with the help of usbview and device manager, turning it into a USBIO maxdrive xbox stick

When i plug it into xbox and goto memory section to copy the game saves to xbox it tells me that stick was not working properly and has been erased

Im so near, yet so far..

After you place the memory stick into the XBOX and it says it's not working properly does it format it?? Hang in there and hopefully one of our other mods/admins will do their best to help out!
