Basically iv had an original xbox since 2001, i got it as a present from my dads friend. He did the executer2 chip and evox dashboard, once i got the xbox 360 i gave my original to my dad.
So long story short the dash messed up last month, where we used to have Mediaplayer/Emulators/Skins ect showing up on the dash, now all of that has dissapeared.
Im guessing that by using AID it will fix this problem but my quiestion is; what will happen to all the music thats on the HDD, there is alot. Will AID backup all of it? Or will i have to back it up myself by FTP?
Btw im not that amazing at modding, so if i do have to FTP il be screwed
Hello,
Does it still have the MS dashboard on there or only Evox ?
The simplest thing to do would be to use AID to install a dashboard to the C partition, simple to do, just a couple of button clicks.
Your music wont be affected as its stored on a different partition _________________

Oh yer there was also an option to go to the Original MS dash, thats still there but when i click that now it just loads up the evox dash instead :S
If you dont use or have no need for the MS dash just use the AID disc to install a dash to your C partition ........ Evox works and was a decent dash but theres better, more up to date dashes on the AID disc. _________________

Thanks for the info, really quick replies i appreciate it. . . so will my dad he misses his music and pac man
Is it the standard hard drive or have you upgraded it ?
its more or less set up like this :
C\ < your dashboard
D\ < the dvd drive
E\ < game saves and music (music goes here if using MS dash)
F\ < your apps, games & music
G\ < your apps, games & music
If your harddrive is just the standard one you probably wont have a F partition, you definately wont have a G _________________
