Hi,
I'm currently attempting to upgrade the hdd to a 750gb ide hdd and i'm getting stuck when I've booted from the xboxhdm iso file cd in the PC. After I select:
1) Boot VGA Console (default) the error screen "This machine is no xbox appears". I cannot get past this point. Can someone please help with this issue? I have the CR rom set up on the secondary IDE drive and connect the 750gb hdd after the first boot screen.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the XBOX-HQ, we hope you enjoy this and all the other HQ sites we have to offer.
Im guessing your running a softmod or you wouldent need xboxHDM so why no use xboxHDM to build a stock HDD with the 750 and then softmod it and add all your stuff?

I did use xboxhdm to create the iso file? Is this what you are referring to?

I just never used vga console to make my HDD.

I've solved the "This machine is not an xbox" issue by using another PC to boot the cd from. Thanks for your help.

Good to know man, like i said i never use the VGA option i just skip that part all together and use the plain DOS looking screens.
I must say its not the first time i have heard a PC wouldn't run XboxHDM.
