I have a Halo 2 profile on a friend's XBOX and I want to transfer the profile to my memory card to play on my XBOX. I tried to copy it a few times before and after clearing my cache and everytime it said path wasnt found or it was full. I tried both mem slots on my controller and checked to see that I had plenty of room for the save. Anybody else had this problem before? I'm getting really tired of only playing my profile when I go to his house. _________________

Get a PC App called Save Re-signer and use that, some game saves need to be edited since the save file ties its self to your HDD number.

Now this is an app for the XBOX? I know it's called PC App, but I just want to make sure. I really don't like the whole PC to XBOX FTP thing. I just burn ISOs onto DVD+RWs and reuse them. It's the simplest and quickest way for me avoiding the whole ping and IP connection.
Could you explain this a little more? I will Google it now. _________________

XBox Game Save Re-signer is a tool to aid in the calculation and updating of game save "signatures". XBox games use "signatures" to ensure that that the information in the game save has not been altered or tampered with. Changing even one byte of data in the game save will result in the signature no longer matching. XBox Game Save Re-signer can be used to re-calculate and re-sign the save game so that the signature will match again, even after information in the save game has been altered.
Sooner or later your going to need to work out the FTP prob, it will save you lots of time.

Ok I go the program downloaded. I went to open it up and check it out, but it asks me for the game file I want to sign. It doesn't have Halo 2 on the avilable list. So do I need to install this onto the XBOX with the save file on it? I"m not sure where to start here. _________________

The App runs from the pc so you need to put your save on the pc to work with it, ill look for the page that give the info for halo 2 but its been more then a year since i needed to use it so it might take some time.

Again, the profile is on my friends XBOX. I guess I could take my laptop over there, but I really hate trying ftp. I wish I could work out my problem with it, but it just acts up on me. I don't know if you recall staying on the phone with me for hours trying to get it to work and we had no luck. That's why you told me about Qwix101 and burning everything into ISOs.
Is there really no other option here? _________________

Ok I know how to get them connected through Avalaunch, so what would I need to do from there? Just copy the profile from the game save manager? _________________

You could just try to move the halo Udata to your halo Udata.

Ok, I will try that and see if it works. It might save you some time from finding the Halo2 save file. I'll let you know. _________________

I linked my XBOX to my friend's XBOX and found that we had the exact Udata files. I had more files than he did on his fresh softmod. I couldn't tell what file was Halo, as they had no names, just numbers. Was it not the Tdata? However, I did get a hold to one of the usb controller port adapters. Will this help at all? I didn't have to buy it, so it's no big deal. Any suggestions? _________________

If you high lite the halo icon and hit (i think the white button for avalaunch) and select properties it will tell you the udata folder that has halo saves in it.

Thanks Wes. You know I still need a little guidance. I knew what you meant, but I was trying to do it through the Unleash file manager. I'm still eager to learn more, but I definitely need a teacher. I'd be lost without you guys. I try to help out newbies with what I can to try and give you guys a break. I'm still a work in progress.
Thanks to all Admins and those who aren't but still lend a helping hand. _________________
