I used SID5.01 to softmod the Xbox and put UnleashX on it, setup as dual boot unleashx/softmod menu, Virtual C+Eeprom, stock Xbox HDD.

I then updated AID 4.10 with the 4.11 pack and booted the Xbox from that. I used the dashboard section to install XBMC, so now it always boots into XBMC with power button, and softmenu with eject button.

I am looking for maximun flexibility, and from what I read, that seems to be to boot to UnleashX dashboard, and then run XBMC as application.

I booted back to AID and installed alll applications. Then I went to install dashboard and chose unleashx. However, the Xbox still boots to XBMC. Not really sure what I did/how to crrect this, or even if I'm headed down the right path.

I use xbmc as my main dash and love it but if your looking to turn it to an app then try this.

Pop in aid and go to the file manager and remove the evoxdash.xbe, do not reboot install unleash-x and then go back and see if theres a new evoxdash.xbe.

If there is select it and make sure it will launch the unleash-x dash.

Where do I delete it from? I've chosen everything as "install to E" as recommended for a retail HDD. So just delete it off E:\?

Would that mean that whatever dashboard file is placed in E:\evoxdash.xbe will be what default boots (assuming all support files exist as well). Where are all the additional files for the dashboards kept? Why don't they keep getting overwritten by other dash installs, or do they?

The whole C, E:, and Virtual C is what's confusing me I think.
If someone could explain that setup, I would appreciate it. What file/setting is telling the xbox to look on a particular drive for a particualr file name and say "always boot this"? I've seen people mention how they default dash in E:\dashboard, but i have no \dashboard folder, just evoxdash.xbe on root of E:\ .

Additionally, I'm getting ready to drop a 160gb drive in, so I'm going to have E, F, and I think G. So what drive would I Want to install things to?

the C drive is running your msdash files and info so just remove the xbe in root E and install unleash and see if that makes a new xbe that will launch unleash

There is no dash folder just a bunch of files in the root E make the dash work.
