I believe some files were accidentally deleted on my xbox. I am now coming up to a screen with a error code 9 or 7. A friend was using it and this Is how it was returned.
I no longer have the game I used to mod the xbox (stolen) but it is still modded is it possible to hook it to my computer and replace the missing files this way. I don't know if it matters but I have changed the drive in it too.

Yes, iI have cchecked, all cables are connectd correctly... He told me that he hit a couple of buttons (Of course, he had no idea what he hit) And he said he saw it starting to delete files and he hit the power.

although it honstly sounds like there is a physical hardware problem with your hard drive.
7 - kernel - HDD timeout
Most of the times, the IDE cable is not properly connected when you see this error. Please reattach the ide cable. Not only to the harddisk drive but also to the dvd drive. ALso try to reconnect the ide cable to the motherboard.
Press pretty hard so it goes all the way in. Make sure it is seated straight and proper in the drives and the motherboard. If you still have an error 7. Try another ide cable. If that won't work try another harddisk. If there is still no go, try to set the jumpers on the rearside of the harddisk drive. Set it to master or cable select. If still no succes, good luck and sell your xbox to me rolleyes.gif
9 - kernel - HDD parameters (PIO/DMA/or size {debug}, certain size minimum is required for debug)
Not very common error, please try another harddisk.
you had said you are getting error 7 and sometimes 9. here they are see if they relate to what you are doing and post a reply with some more info.
