I am looking into upgrading my HDD i need to know which i should use i am not 100% sure of my xbox Version My xbox is Refurbished and i think it is 1.6. It is softmodded with XBMC as the Dash and i want a drive at least 100Gigs or more. _________________ The way to the light is through the Darkness

If your going to buy a new one, I'd look at 300gig hdds. You wont end up paying too much for em and its nice to have the extra space. I have a box sitting at my house right now with a maxtor 300gig model #: 6L300R0 that works pretty good and runs super quiet. _________________

i bought a 300 gig HD too, i didnt think i would need all of it either, but i notice after i started putting stuff on it the sapce is going down quite fast.

i am also looking to upgrade my xbox's HDD so that i can stpre more games to the system, i want to buy a compatible 250GB Western Digital, HDD, im pretty sure the model number is liek 2500JB i think tis caviar or sumthin, but thats not important. I heard from many people including my cuz, who also upgraded HDD's your xbox will only read 137 GB, i want to be able to get all the GB's i paid fpr!! lol, does anyone know how to get the xbox to detect ALL the space? thanks

You just have to format it in your dashboard. Make a F drive, and a G drive.
