Sounds like it will do it all for you and work in your dell, you asked if it will burn all media yes all but dule lair it wold seem.
i have 5 burn drives in the house and have had no probs burning anything on any of them.
I think its to the point now that its all the same crap its just a matter of whos name you want to see stamped on your drive.
2 of my pc's are dell thay seem to do real good backups and such with liteon drives both drives are diffrent modles.
hope this helps

This drive is great for writing speeds too.
I backed up my copy of halo tonight. It was a 3.7 gig ISO file burning to a TDK dvd-r and it only took 4 minutes. Im really happy with it, i can finally burn dvd's _________________

I love my little Sony DVD-RAM / RW drive. Burning dual layer discs is great for backups. Mind you, it will still take a lot of discs to backup my entire PC, as I have 4 HDD's in my beast:

I just use a NEC...cant remember the model number, but it was the cheapest one i could find at the time when i bought it. somethingl ike 40 bucks, and it burns xbox (single layer) and xbox 360 (dual layer) backups nicely.
