Ok so i realise that there are many many tutorials on this, however my problem is a little different. I recently put auto installer deluxe on my 1.6 xbox and it worked great except xored trainer launcher wouldnt work. So i ftped the trainers over to my Evox dashboard trainers. Then they worked great until i the next time i turned it on. The dashboard wouldnt load it would get to the Xbox logo then go to a black screen then loop back to the logo again. I put in the AID disc back in and was able to start that up, i told it to unistall which it did. Now my xbox gets a error 13 message when there is no cd in the xbox or an error 14 when there is a cd inside I haver a 160 gig hardrive and another comepletely working xbox. What do i have to do to put the new hd into the busted xbox?
UPDATE: Ok, whe i put in mech assault on the new drive it only came up with a error 5, so i just gotta lock the hard drive and i should be in business only problem is dont know how ot do that

Ok error 05 would be HDD not locked. So now if you have a EEPROM backup on your computer you can lock it with xboxhdm or if you dont have a backup then you gotta buy a mod chip. _________________
Ok, it is softmodded. i do not have the eeprom backed up to my pc. So the absolute only way to do it is a modchip? It wouldnt be possible to get a different eeprom would it? Alrighty well if i do have to find a modchip do you have any recommendations?

Sorry but if its not backed up then there is no way to get that box working again unless you buy a mod chip. If your going to get a mod chip buy the Xecuter 3 CE, its great and you can either solder it in or have it solderless as well. Also if your buying the solderless one, you will need to know what version your xbox is. This will require opening the xbox, but if your buying a chip your going to have to anyways.

If your not confident enough that your going to be able to solder it without any problems, I recomend having someone else do it for you. I would recomende asking Burner about it as he seems to come highly recomended and is relativly cheap. _________________
