I have a bunch of roms that I FTP'ed over to my softmodded Xbox. The problem is that they won't show up, or at least some do and some don't. I have noticed that the ones that show up are .smc and .src file. The .smc files work ok but the other one doesn't. Why is this or did I just answer my own question??

I think you just answered your own question there. Wink SNES roms should be .smc. I had the same thing with my 64 roms.
