My friend Stella2600 has a 1.0 softmod xbox that i am upgrading the harddrive on. I followed this tutorial and i really think i messed something up on my 1.6 chipped box
When i uploaded his eeprom to my xbox, i think it tried to make my box think that it had a 1.0 style motherboard layout (w/ the different video chip, etc.). So i have already recovered my SMARTXX v2 Modchip, but i cant boot bios or restore my original eeprom that i know of (the only bios i can boot so far is Ed_on_a_chip_0.0.3 which is an emergency ftp bios) (Also i have my eeprom backed up on my pc).
So anyone who can help me either remotely update my old eeprom or switch it from my smartxx v2 will be verrry helpful. i could always by a new box but dont have money now.. _________________ If it's broken, repair it,

Over the past few hours, i have tried lots of ways to recover my original eeprom but none have worked!

Your going to need to put your old eeprom on and run config magic. Thats about the only way your going to make it. _________________

No i don't think you completely understood. There was absolutely no way of getting the eeprom loaded onto the chip or booting any type of bios to run a dash and get configmagic running.
Everything was a no go. But i recently found a program called remoteflash_v5 that can flash my smartxx chip with an eeprom.bin backup on my pc. This then allowed me to get back my bios and dash capabilities. My hard drive had to be unlocked via xboxhdm linux app on a pc so that it was usable again. It really kinda sucks to find the answer for your own thread topics
Anyways, for future reference, i now know not to flash my box with a different xbox version's eeprom because you get in a major screw up like i did. All credit goes out to XBOX-HQ though, because i couldn't have known what direction to go in without their help. _________________ If it's broken, repair it,
