Posted: Thu Mar 15, 2007 1:12 pm Post subject: Help!! Hard drive frozen and won't lock!
Just for some background. I've modded and installed 250 GB hard drives on 3 separate xbox's using my pc to lock it on 3 separate occasions. Now I'm trying to do the exact same thing again. All 4 times (including this time), I've bought a 250 Gig Western Digital HD. Not sure on the model number of the other ones because I had no problems. The one I have now is model # WD2500JB-00REA0, which, according to the xbox hard drive compatibility chart I found, is compatible. I hook up the new HD to my PC and use the boot disk I created with Xboxhdm and I build the new xbox. Then I reboot and use the locking tool and it says the drive is frozen. How can I lock my hard drive? I'm not sure why this is happening as I've done this 3 times before and it's been easy. Any help would be greatly appreciated as all I need to do is lock this stupid thing and I can install it and use it! Thanks in advance!
P.S. - it might or may not be worth noting that my xbox is softmodded with evox dash.

I went to the bios..don't see an auto detect for my HD
