Hey i was looking through the tut and cant find a good guide for hooking my xbox to the internet to play sys link games. I dont have a home network setup yet. I have a router but I am network newbie and have no idea what I am doing. If anyone cant point me into the right direction that would be great. I setup an account with xlink kai but I havent installed the software. I was just looking for a good guide and some guidence.

alright so what you said this is what im assuming
1. your current setup is your computer is connected directly to the internet from the dsl/cable box
2. you have a router but its not setup
3. you want to use xlink but have no idea how to
alright well you are going to need to setup your router (follow the instructions that came with the box) hook your computer up through one ethernet port and the xbox through the other
download the xlink kai client for info on how to setup a game and how to use it look it up on their website, if you still need help drop another line

My router is setup and I run my internet through it...
I was just wondering if I need to setup a home network or do I just plug the xbox into the router and will I be able to connect to xlink with out setting up a network. Do I need to change any setting on my xbox to get it to work?

ok this is how u use xlink.
1)connect your xbox to the same router that your pc is on
2)start xlink on your pc
3) browse to the game you wish to play on xlink and find a lobby
4) load up game and select system link and it should pick up the game
