it all started when i tried to back up one if my dvds using dvdfab. the avi file played on my xbox but only through the receiver and only with subtitles. then i tried to back up with no subtitles and 3\2 sound. It worked on the xbox once and then none of my avi files woul play usiing xbmc. so then...
I can't uninstall or install anything with aid 3.1. In fact I reinstalled the soft mod using sid 4.5 sotmod users one click install, and now i can't get to the ms dashboard at all. It says drive C=0. Any of my avi files will play using xbmc. I think i messed up pretty bad. I am not sure what I did, but i can not install or unistall anything with aid 3.1 I have some games on the HD i do not want to lose. Should i reformat and star all over? Can I ftp my hd games to my PC to save before i do this?

i have 6 games on the f drive.

I reformatted drive c and was able to install the ms dash. I am able to play avi and divix files on xbmc now. Yeahh!
However, I still can not install any apps i.e. xdsl on to any drive using aid.
I don't mean to have so may posts regarding this, i just want evrything to rum smoothly. Everyone here has been a great help. By the way, it seems divix are better quality then avi. Is the normally true?
