Ok I have a BONE STOCK v1.0 (product ID 541 4123524 21002)
And I have a PS3 and I will get a XBox 360 whenever they get a price cut.
Anyways so i want to mod my original Xbox. And I have been looking at all the newbie information in the stickies and I think I want to use a
MOD chip and I was looking at the Xecuter 3 Solderless Combo $77.00( http://www.extreme-mods.com/xecuter-3-solderless-combo-p.html ) and yes i am using the affiliate banner so HQ gets some $$$$.
My first question is this one of the best around? And My dad and brother both know how to solder so it doesn't matter if it needs to be soldered or not I just want the top of the line.
It needs to be XBox Live turn off-able.
And I was looking to upgrade to a bigger HDD like a this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822152049 So that I can load my games it for faster loading times.
PS- I am debating paying for the year of VIP membership so please let me know what you VIP members find most helpful or useful as VIP members

hi aea414 well both softmods and hardmods are nearly close to doing the same job well atleast the most common stuff.
the latest softmods are so incrediable that you can now play xbox live and still have your softmod installed without getting banned from xbox live. alto i'd perfer to play xbl on 360 any day over x1
you can upgrade the hard drive even on a softmod and softmods are extreamly easy and are fast and cheap too. you would just need action replay kit and a 007 agent under fire game NON platinum . it can also be the original ma and sc
on a hardmod besides installation time you still have to flash it ( which takes time) but the outcome with a chip is better on some things but the most common things are possible with sid4 . and yes putting a bigger hard drive KILLS loading to nearly noting or hardly someting and you can fit alot of stuff including classic games snes nes n64 ps1 ( NOT PS2) sega etc _________________ |FTP|Useful Links| softmod vs hardmod questions

roger that, does game stop usually carry AR memory transfer thing because me and my brother want to do this tomorrow possibly.
Also I have read that once i have all the items it take about 10 mins to get fully modded? Also can i SOFTmod now and then get a new hard drive later? _________________ Xbox v1.0

SID 4.5 is for softmodding.
AID 3.10 is for AFTER u softmod/hardmod, all it oes is install apps, flashes bios on a chip, installs diff. dashboards, and it does alot more i just cant think right now im tired and just woke up.
Ok Well over on DIGG.com I was looking around like i do usually for articles that catch me eye and a xbox mod did catch my eye so now I have a question.
I have 007:auf(non platinum) and the AR thing on the way. But do i need to do with anything like this

sid 4 is more noob friendly while 4.5 has less buggier for pal users... since your ntsc i would recommend trying out sid 4 and once your more knowledgable then upgrade to 4.5 _________________ |FTP|Useful Links| softmod vs hardmod questions
I don't see SID4 anywhere i got to the VIP DL section then I click Auto installer Deluxe and then SID 4 and all i see is SID 4.5
