hi guys, my power supply unit suddenly died on me last week so i bought a replacement psu from mrmodchips, one that can be used in all versions of xbox, i have installed it but when i press the power button it makes a funny noise and thats it no power, any ideas and help is most welcome, cheers

well i think only 1.0/1.1 psu works with the same model mobo and so on like the 1.2/1.3 only on that model, catch my drift? Im thinking that its not the right power supply although if the connection is the same i dont see how its different.

Could also be that something else is messed up??? WHat does the noise sound like, what were you doing or what was the xbox doing at this time?

If its for that 1.6 you have, you need a 1.6 power supply, not universal all in one.
