Hi. First of all im pretty newb with these things, but ill try to put as much information to make it as clear as possible.
I have a chipped xbox, which has a xecuter2 chip, with a 120GB HD. My problem is that my xbox is probably set to PAL instead of NTSC (I live in north america). The image is black and white and flickers. ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO READ TO ANYTHING. So, i looked at some forum threads from people who had the same problem. They say to use enigmah video selector to change back to NTSC. The problem is that for enigmah to work, the xbox needs to start like it was going to the dashboard where i chose my emulators and games and everything (not the official MS dashboard). For a reason that I don't understand, I can't seem to be able to go back to my hacked dashboard (the one with emulators and games). In front of my xbox I have 3 switches. one ENABLE or DISABLE, one PROTECT or UNPROTECT and one BANK1 or BANK2. I think because i played with these I can't get back to the hacked dashboard. I tried every possible combination with the switches, but nothing seems to help. Now, when I start my xbox, it gives me a error 05 message. I used to be able to go to the hacked dashboard if I put the switch to ENABLE (even if everything is black and white and flickering) and wouldn't get any error messages. When the switch was at DISABLE, I would get the error 05 message.So, I need to know how to get back to my dashboard where i chose my games and emulators AND then how to use enigmah.

The Error Code means kernel - HDD not locked, that shouldnt matter if you get the chip to work again. and which bank did you flash your "hacked" bios on?? Have you opened you box lately, it would also be good to open it up and make sure the chip is seated right. and I would have protect always on.. just so you can't mess up the flash.. and then enabled just means the chip is on.. haven't used an xecuter 2 yet, but just do a little reading up on it.. to much info is better then not enough... and has your screen always been black and white since you installed the chip??
