have a v1.6 XBox and I recently installed the Xecuter 2.6CE mod chip (soldered in). Following the installation I followed the many tutorials I was using at the time and downloaded a BIOS. I then flashed the chip with the EvolutionX M8 Bios_v1.6 on Bank 1 and FlashBios v3.0.1 on Bank 2 using Xecuter2 BIOS Manager v2.3. The flash was successful and the XBox turned off (like it is supposed to). I am now trying to run AID 3.10 to install a Dashboard. I updated the AID with a 1GB dummy file because I am burning to a Verbatim DVD-R (at 4x with DVD Decrypter). When I do a cold boot with the AID Disc in the XBox it appears like it is going to load (I see a screen with the regular XBox Logo and at the bottom it says AID 3.04). However, after being on this screen for about 25 seconds, my XBox goes blue screen, but it doesn't shut off. Does anyone have any ideas that could help me out?

I would not use Evox M8 if you can avoid it. Try reflashing bank one with X2 5035 and see if that works.

OK I will try that. However, should I use the x2 5035, the x2 5035.137, the x2 5035.v16plus.137, or the x2.5035.v16plus? These are the BIOS files that came with the AID download.

X2 5035: Version 1.0-1.5 with a HDD < 137 GB
X2 5035 V6 Plus: Version 1.6/1.6B with a HDD < 137 GB
X2 5035 137: Version 1.0-1.5 with a HDD > 137 GB
X2 5035 V6 Plus 137: Version 1.6/1.6B with a HDD > 137 GB

Everything worked to perfection after I put the new BIOS on. I installed the EvoX Dashboard and it looks really good. However, when I try to load a backup game it goes to the EvolutionX symbol and doesn't proceed. I take it that means it was a bad burn?

Ok, I installed UnleashX and then tried the game again, which was burned on a Verbatim DVD-R at 4X. It recognizes that it's a game and when I click launch DVD it says it's loading the game (it even states the game title) but it will not complete the load. If there's any help you can give me on this, that would be great. If not, I will read a few more in depth tutorials on xiso creation/burning, etc. Thanks again!

Ya, I just have the stock HDD. Do you happen to know the price of a larger HDD these days?

I face a similar problem except that I did not Flash the BIOS (don't even know how to do it). The AID was booting fine until I started backing up the Original C and E. While backing up E, it says that I don't have memory in F and G, which is true. Hence, I used ConfigMagic to zero Y and Z partition and give the space to F and G. Right after I try to reboot, the AID get stuck. After ejecting the CD and rebooting, it goes back to the Dashboard (Thank God). However, DVD games will not play and XBMC will not work. I am getting jittery before even swapping with a larger HDD. Hope you can get me sort out my original HDD before I gain confidence in swapping the New one. Thanks. BTW, how do you Flash BIOS? Is it advisable for Newbies like me?
