Is it possible to replace the Xbox's DVD Reader with a DVD Burner.

And if so what would I use to burn the cds, and would it be possible to burn music cds, with the existing music on the Xbox's Hard drive?

You need a mod-chip among other things, in order to do that

Ok, that makes sense...
Maybe I will get a chip.
But I searched everywhere and cant find any info on Adding a Burner to the xbox, you think you can point me somewhere with like a tutorial?

and if your gonna use it in place of the the xbox dvd drive, the firmware in the dvd burner has to be changed and some modifications have to be made to it too.

You can have a external dvd burner hooked up but you have to get a usb hub and make a usb port on your xbox for it to hook up too.

Ok, that would probably be easier...
So If I connect my DVD Burner through the USB, could I then maybe use X-DSL, and a burner program I found for linux called "BashBurn", would that allow me to burn cds?
