Do you have the eeprom from the xbox? If you don't, you can't straight out replace the HDD. You may be able to repair the current and then replace the drive though. Whats wrong with it? _________________ Hotswap|HDD Upgrade|X3 Guide

If you follow this you should be able to read the eeprom from the xbox and use that to lock the new drives. _________________ Hotswap|HDD Upgrade|X3 Guide

To unlock the drives yuo will want to use the eeprom.bin files from those xboxes. Do you have them?

try to resolder the wire, and even use a multimeter to confirm continuity.

K, those were meant as two questions.
If you don't have the eeprom from the xboxs those drives came from, you will not be able to unlock them easily. What are the models of the drives?
As for the wire on your chip, do you have a multimeter to test continuity with? _________________ Hotswap|HDD Upgrade|X3 Guide
