i was wondering: if i put a psx emulator on my xbox does that mean i can burn psx cdrs and put them in the xbox and play them if my drive reads cdrs?

Yes and no. If it will read CD-Rs then you can burn it to the disc, but you will first have to do a couple of things:

Create the backup of your PS games into .bin and .cue files.
Using a tool like c-xbox tools, create an XISO and add those files to it.
Burn that ISO.

Your PS emulator should be able to read the .bin and .cue files from the CD.
