Hi I am a noob, it is true, anyway I am working on intalling/setting up my first modded xbox. I successfully installed the chip and the evox dashboard and now i am trying to install xcommander. I am not so sure how to do this and I cannot find very much on it. I tried to put it into the f:\ drive in a folder called "apps" but it says i do not have access even though i unlocked the hdd and successfully ftp'd into the xbox. can someone please help me?

Ok.. Sounds to me like you arent using FLASHFXP which is the recommended ftp application for transering files to and from your XBOX and PC..
ok... Make sure your ftp username and password are set to:
Ftp Info for logon to your xbox:
IP ADDRESS: YOUR XBOX IP
PORT: 21
XBOX USERNAME: xbox
XBOX PASSWORD: xbox
Do you have a UPGRADED HDD TOO.. If you only have a RETAIL XBOX HDD then you can only copy your stuff to the E:\ XBOX PARTITION..
If you have upgraded your XBOX HDD then you will probably have a F:\ PARTITION and G:\ PARITITON depedning on the size of the HDD you installed.
just some tips:
The XBOX-HQ AUTO INSTALLER v1.2 installs most apps at the click of your xbox joypad.. Just download this program and burn it to DVD-R or CDRW and boot it in your xbox.. This will save you tonnes of time.
The XBOX HQ AUTO INSTALLER can do:
- Format/Partition standard or upgradded XBOX HDD
- Installs EVOX as your main dashboard
- Can Install the M$ Normal XBOX DASHBOARD
- Install all the latest apps fro your xbox
dont waste your time doing it manually anymore.. Just download the AUTO INSTALLER.
