The first option is to reload the game used for the exploit. Hopefully the gamesaves are still on the hdd. If they are you will be able to re-do the softmod.
If that doesn't work then you will have to do a hotswap. Hunt down pirrup for the tutorial and files under his sig.
You can also look in the tutorials or softmod forums. _________________ Xenium Ice 2.3.1 OS

i havent tried using a game disc to remod the box because he just got this box from an abondoned apt that his uncle owns, but we do know it was tampered with but with what exploit is unknown.
i tryed to hotswapping method, dont know if i am doing it right but in xboxhdm options 1 to 6 are in <disabled> brackets
i gave a call to my other friend who has a chipped box to see if the chip can unlock error16 hdd, is there a tutorial for that?
thanks

Your timing may be off. You want to unplug the IDE cable from the hdd as soon as the light around the eject button turns red. Don't give it time to blink. _________________ Xenium Ice 2.3.1 OS

after a long break from trying to hotswap that drive, it finally worked.
i was able to do the recovery to the c partition but i noticed that the hard drive was making clicking sounds as it was doing this. this does not bold well for the drive and after the recovery process i still get error 16.
sounds to me that the drive has bad sectors when it was restoring the data, so i guess its now a modchip and a new hdd
can someone direct me towards a canadian modchip seller that has some instock
thanks
