This question is for all you users out there who have 2gb of ram. I'm finally upgrading to 2gigs and I'm just wondering what size do you guys use for your virtual memory settings? Should I just use the standard 1.5xram size like microsoft suggests? Any input would be appreciated, thanks. Oh and I forgot to mention that I do play games and do some video encoding here and there.

I don't have that much yet, but it's good to go from 600 - 900mb, and upto 2.5GB, but I don't know, i'm good with the first option I mentioned, and I use 512mb still Embarassed

i believe from what i read you use half of your ram,

set it to custom size Initial size 1024 Maximum 2048

that should work.

I have 2Gb of RAM. My virtual rom is set to a minimum of 1024 and a maximum of 1.5x the 2Gb (3072). Virtual RAM should always be more than RAM.

If you've got the space on your HDD, use as much as it'll let you, cos it all helps.

Ive got 1.50 Gb of RAM, so how do i set my vitrual rom and what should i set it to. Im using windows xp service pack 2.
