I just purchased a 320GB WD drive and so I either need to make a G partion or format in 32k clusters. I figure it would be more convienent to have one large F like im used to but is there any disadvantage to formating in 32k clusters? Also I'm having difficulty locating a tutorial on how to use XBpartitioner. It says there is one on the site but the link doesnt work. I assume you flash your chip first with the latest BIOS (Im using an X3) but then what? Do I format first using X3 config live? Does the program run from within a folder on your xbox HD (if so what directory) or do you run it remotely from your computer using an FTP client? I'v got the program downloaded (v. 1.0) which I am guessing is the most recent version but what do I do with it now?
Thanks

xbpartitioner runs on your xbox. simply copy it to somewhere on your drive. i ran xbpartitioner in my applications file. you'll have to use your file explorer to boot the xbe. file for it. then once your boot it, there will be 2 sections, top and bottom, go to the bottom section and you should see 3 partions, push A on each of them until it is one partition. then push start. it should say push Y to confirm, and thats it it will make one big drive space. by the way a 320GB hard drive will ususally only be about 300 once it is partitioned. but F%$# thats plenty! I ran the same hard drive and once i partitioned it i got about 298GB's out of it. _________________ Xbox V1.6

Thanks a ton for the info, I thought it was a PC program and that I was SOL since I use a mac. The instructions varied somewhat since I was using 1.0 but It was eay enough to figure out. It was kind of weird formatting the partition that the program itself was on though.
