I seem to have a small problem that is bothering me and I can't figure out. I finsished updating XBMC (pimped edition) and when I booted it up the images that appear in the background are missing. The ones that change when you move from "My Programs" to "My Music" or anywhere else in the main menu. How do I get them to show? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! Oh and this is the first time I've ever attempted to upgrade XBMC so if you can think of anything I might have done wrong or if you can think of any tips that would be great.

Is XBMC your dash? Were you in the program when you were updating XBMC? How did you update it?

Did you d/l and install the latest cvs one? It is buggy still. It's either the one you d/led was corrupt or you set it up wrong. Try redoing it.

What is this pimped version you are talking about? Are you meaning the latest version released. Pimped out doesnt describe it enough.

XBMC Pimped Edition is a version of XBMC - He said he was running that version and having issues with it...I have the same version and it works fine. If you are interested in trying it, it can be found here:

Yeah I'm using the latest version(4-1-2006) and that's the only problem I'm having. I'm gonna try to uninstall it and redo the whole thing. FYI- XBMC is my main dash and I updated it while in the avalaunch dash(ftp). Does it matter if I do it through ftp or do I have to do it through the XBMC dash itself? Just so I know if I'm doing this right..I get the old xml and edit it(I used ConText)) to look EXACTLY like the new one? I've read the online manual I just want to make sure I'm doing this correctly. Also I couldn't get the new XBMC files to overwrite the old so I deleted them and then replaced them. Does that matter Thanks for all the help and I apologize for being such a noob.

It's usually best to download the latest cvs builds of XBMC from their official IRC channel then adding extras later. This is more of a statement for people who are new to xbmc than to any of the posters on this thread.
