Hello.
I'm a relative noob to the Xbox world but so far I've managed to keep everything working properly until today. I've got a modified Xbox with EvoX installed, and I used to FTP into it to drop TV episodes for playback onto my TV. Long story short it stopped working today and I'm going crazy here.
I replaced he router cause my DLINK was a piece of crap anyway, but I'n not having any better luck with the Linksys either at this point. When I try to log into the Xbox I get the following error message:

I've never seen this message before and I've transferred hundreds of episodes in the past. I was worried that maybe my new little one (15m old) might have hit a jumper on the modchip but I don't think so.
I tried with CuteFTP as well as Windows itself and SmartFTP, but I'm not getting anywhere fast. My connection is via my Linksys wireless router (by cable) into the Xbox running on DHCP. I've also tried a set IP without any success so at this point I'm stumped. I did lots of google searching and tried to disable PASV mode and just had the same problem:

try flashfxp and see if that works. if you need help configuring it ill guide ya along. _________________

That's the funny thing I didn't change anything on either side of the system .. XBOX or PC. I thought that my router might have been wonky, so I just replaced that tonite.

Actually not at the moment .. I always use the router since I've got the whole house wired and wireless. I did swap the cable out to be sure, and I do get connection lights on both ends.

The XBOX is currently set to DHCP but I also tried it with STATIC and there was no difference. As far as the dashboard goes, please forgive my noobedness but I've never changed it since I got the XBOX .. if I search for what you recommended and download it, I'm assuming that it will make a bootable disc from which I can update the XBOX?

I'll be honest that it is the original dashboard .. probably like 2 years old .. but it plays all the shows without a problem so I've never bothered to update it. Since it was working without being changed, I didn't think that it could be a cause here, but I'm willing to update it anyway what the heck it's due anyway!
