Hello, I'm a new member of this site

I know my drive is compatable....

Seagate ST3400632A 400gb 16mb cache 7200 rpm.

The drive is not frozen but when I try to lock the hd with Xbhdm v 1.9 I get this error message.

lock hd? (y,n) yes

aboriting!

Drive ID

Drive serial

Eeprom

security supported yes

security enabled no

security lock no

secuirty frozen no

.etc.

Everything else with process was going just fine. Just one last little peice before I can use this thing.

Any help from the pros would be great

My desktop is 6 years old lol.

I'm running on a 700 mhz pentium 3 with 64mb ram hahah.

Anyways, no I do not have access to another computer.

I'm really looking for an unlock x or HDlock tutorial.

So far nobody on many diff forums can tell me what this error message means.

Uggh, this brick cost me 270$. I wish I had purchased a PSP, Gp2x, or an M3 adapter for my DS. So many awesome options I could be using right now, but no...

Any help would be appreciated....

omg, typing y worked...

Why do people say you have to type yes? That was precicely my problem.

Maybe it has to do with Xhdm verision.

Anyway, now I just have to buy some torx screw drivers and I'll be set.

Cant wait to set up my media center hahahaha.

Oh yeah......... I have been telling a few people about this, I believe some members thought I was retarded for saying type Y not yes at the end of locking, glad someone else had same situation, though I went through a eal hard time to figure it out. Anyway, hopefully this will help others with same problem.
Hell blazer I dont know about the bios being the problem, the reason I say this is I tried two diffeent cpu's , different mfg., bios and O.S Very Happy

I just wanted to thank everyone who replied in this post.

Every problem that is solved is another possible glitch/error that informs the community of a solution.

My drive now rests in my Xbox with all 400 gb goodness.

I will be submitting the following to xbox x pec hd compatabilty website.

Seagate ST3400632A 400gb 16mb cache 7200 rpm

Lockable

I will also describe the problem I had with locking this drive. So anyone reading the compatability will know to try y and yes before giving up.
