I mounted the xecuter 3 CE and when i turn it on all i get is one blue LED. Now i've gone back over and over and over again to make sure all the solder points were correct and good and they are. What could the problem be. I read somewhere that it was pin 15 but that didnt seem to do anything when i move it around. I have a v. 1.6B box.

Yea, its that little pink think that goes around the solder points, I connected all of them where they're supposed to be and they're not touching anything else. Theres no D0 for my box because it's a 1.6B.

I Have the exact same problem...where does the grey wire come from? I thought you didn't use the grey wire if you're using the rebuild???? I didnt use that part with the grey wire on it at all...directions didn't call for it...

I have tried over and over to flash the bios. I have followed the directions to the tee. I don't know why I cant get the CD to read on my xbox. The only thing that is different from what I'm doing to the instructions are the .bin file icons. My icons are the ones where when you double click them, you get asked what program you want to use to open them. On the instruction when the .bin files are ready to burn in nero6, they have a "cd" for an icon...doe's this matter? if not, what else could I be doing wrong. At this point i'm just trying to get the original xbox hd to work. I would like to put in the 250gb hd but I need some help...obviously.

I'll try to help you but for your info I am a noob also but just an old one. First off trying to get the Xbox to read off the CDRW is a pain and I was unable to get that to work either. Your X 3 chip is awesome because it will let you FTP it, and thats how you can flash your bios. Hopefully you have a router, do you? If not get one, either borrow a buddy's or buy one. D-links are pretty cheap and Linksys are the best. I'll leave it at that and let me know what you got before we continue.

Thats great!! It's so easy to flash and install your dashboard, XBMC, DVD2Xbox via the network. Ok, have your Xbox connected to your router with cat5 cable not a crossover cable. Now read this http://teamxecuter.entryhost.com/flashbios/http.htm everything is there that you need. Make damn sure if you got a 1.6bv to boot with switches off,on,off, off, off. Then when the flash bios screen is up and before you flash it to the 3294v16 bios switch them to on,on,off, off, off. then go ahead and flash it. Let me know what happens

Will get to the harddrive later. After you installed your chip and you start it up with the chip enabled do you see the flash bios screen?

It gaets all the way to the end of the flashing process and at the end it says "programming failed:" Then when I try to boot the xbox i get the red and green flashing lights....I'm going to check all the solder point again...I know I did it right...
