I have 2 xboxes that freeze at the xbox logo on startup. Please help this n00b. Thanks

Could you please provide more info. Did you attempt or have a softmod or are these completely stock boxes......are there modchips in them?...what bios and dashboards are you running.....what did you do to make this happen or did you buy them like this....later. _________________ Xbox V1.6

I bought these the way they are. I do not see evedence of hard modding.

Sounds like a failed softmod. If you have SID4 you can find some useful info in the manual regarding hot-swapping HD and using xboxhdm1.9 to copy original m$ files back onto the HD. Check into that and keep us posted.

well if u cannot load anything then get 1 of the fellowing games..
007 auf = agent under fire , ma or sc ... try not to get platinum edition they rarely work.. it cost around 10 bucks in gamestop...
umm does the bottom of the xbox have the seals broken? mb if it does then it might be hardmoded...
thetazzman had a point.. but i would try the easiest possible steps 1st then work on harder 1's...

if you did mod with a game exploit other then aid, then insert the game you modded it with, and try reinstalling the softmod. the game should boot if you didn't mess your xbox up too bad. if you did back up your c drive then just ftp it with back over to your xbox...I had the same problem. but that is how i fixed mine.
