Total Newbie - please be gentle
I upgraded my xbox 1.1 - with xspider 1.0b - flashed the bios with m8plus.16 ... a clean download that warned me up front that it would not allow me to play "back up copies" of games.. which is fine, im not into pirating software or making back up copies..
it seems to have worked.. that is.. the Evox logo appears on the screen
but.. of course.. - now all i want to do .. is play my legit store bought halo2 with a few extra cheat codes..
I was finding myself getting stuck from time to time.. in the game.. not able to defeat the enemies.. etc.. - dying to quickly.. running out of ammo that sorta stuff..
so i was hoping to get some cheat codes - unlocks - that would let me
a) see behind.. or pass thru walls..
b) unlimited ammo
c) unlimited lives..
etc that kinda thing.. but - hours of exhaustive readings on obtaining such cheat codes.. has frustrated me.
ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED..
...again.. all my games are store bought - if i want to "try" before i buy.. i RENT from legit establishments.. - i don't pirate, bootleg or make back-up archivals .. etc..
i also noticed my xbox live will not let me play - so i guess it is detecting my mod chip.. and is banning me.. - but when i switch the chip off - xspider has that feature, it - comes back with a warning saying i need to contact microsoft... for service - so i am assuming.. the xbox is havin a hissy fit.. that is.. it dont like mods, (or spiders )

I'm glad you're not using your modchip for bootleg or pirating games.... Very admirable... Anyways, i'm not too experienced with modchips as my xbox is softmodded. As far as the cheat codes you're talking about, you must be referring to trainers. You can get these at maxconsole.net. All you have to do is register and download them. Then FTP them into your xbox.... As far as the xbox live, I'm really not sure about that. You might want to ask around for that. GOOD LUCK!!

If your adding trainers you can ftp them to your trainers folder depending if its on your c or e drive if you trainer program in evox dont work you can use a program called Xored Mini Trainer Engine which you can get on Nknaves XED (Xbox Enhancer Disk) _________________

I have an action replay, Can i use it to transfer trainers from maxconsole.net , to my xbox?, and will they work. How do i activarte it??

I think many folks here would recomend flash FXP. It is a great program for FTPing to the xbox. But really you can do it from your web browser. First find out what you IP on the xbox is. If you can't find it, tell us what dash you are using. Type ftp://168.192.0.1 or what ever your IP is into your web browser (Again, flash FXP is far better). Use xbox as the username and the password.

Okay let me start off by saying that if you have a version 1.1 xbox you should not have a bios that has 16 in it as that is for version 1.6 machines so that will ineviatably cause you troubles....Now onto everything else...do you have aid 2.11...if not i think that would be a very good place to start to fix your box....btw, it would really help if you had a signature thing at the bottom of your posts which you can do in your settings that way we know what bios, dashboard, size hdd, xbox version, etc that you are using.....anyways...you need to install msdash 5960 off that disc to most likely fix your error screen problem...what error is it giving you in the top left hand corner....some more specific details would help address your issue....now im guessing you didnt use aid since i believe 2.11 comes with trainers already on it so you could use those for halo....either way give us some more info about what you are working with and you will get squared away...later. _________________ Xbox V1.6

When I use flash FXP, I type mt IP address(192.168.0.104)
and us xbox as pass and login.
It says it doesent connect. By the way, im V1.1 and spiderchip V1.0b and. Evolution X flash.
What can i do to put trainers on xbox, so i can use them (what do they do?). and do i need a bashboard, where can i get one??? please give step by step instructions on how to use and get dashboard, flashFXP and trainers.
