i have configured veyrthing correctly as the tutorial has said but for some odd reason everytime i try ot connect it always says" Socket error 10060 Connetcion timed out" so can any1 please help

I assume you are trying to connect to your xbox via ftp.
If so, make sure your password is correct, double check the ip as well.
if everything is still good, try to connect to your xbox with a different ftp client of some sort, to make sure you have the correct info

i have done all of that and it still won't work, the light on my linksys g router is green, showing the conecttio is there, and i even tried another client and it still won't work, how can i check if my port is actually open, port 21 that is please help me....

i meesed around and the only time i could get a 10060 was when i entered a wrong IP address into options--->ftp
try disabling any firewalls you have running then try again. make sure your using the right IP address.

well i double checked if i was enetering the right ip and i am,a lso i disabled my firewall but still no luck. so i wanted to c what error i would get if i enetered in my defauly gateway and then i got connedtion refused, so im still stuck and i dont no y my xbox will not conect to my computer even though ia m connected on my router and i have fulll acess to internet some please help

o heres another bit of info when i connect it to my comp to play xbconnect it works :S but if i try and do the ftp it doesnt??? so

I had the same problem
I tried to shut down all my antivirus program and now it is working just fine

Do you have your xbox set to static ip? I believe it needs to be in static mode and not dynamic.
