I didn't see anything in here about getting an error servie required and the lights flah green and red.Is there there way to fix this if so please help. It stills plays the original versions of the games but when I take them out it gives me that error. Oh sry my xbox is soft modded by the way. All help is appreciated.

Since you can still boot original games i would suggest you reinstall your softmod and a dashboard.. It sounds like you are missing the dashboard files from your xbox.

either way you shold always beable to recover your xbox.. Just make sure you always get a backup of your eeprom, hddkeys and all other info etc etc whenever you can..

I would suggest softmodding using SID (http://www.aid.xbox-hq.com).
