Ok, here's the deal. Im trying to launch GTA San Andreas using EvoX 3595 but every single time I select that option, it goes to the load screen for about 2-4 secs and then right back to the main dashboard. What gives?

you need to use dvd2xbox to remove the protection so it can play from the xbox hdd.. Put the game in the dvdrom drive and the backup..

It should work just fine..

Also make sure that you do not have trainers active.

ok, let me see if i understand you. i copy the game to my hard drive using dvd2xbox, then go back to my dashboard and i should be able to launch the game with the 'play game/dvd from dvd drive' option? also, the only reason i am trying to launch the game using the evox dashboard is because i am trying to use the trainer for this game. so, i was told that the only way i can use the trainer is to launch the original disk using evox.

Yes.. You copy the game to the xbox hdd using DVD2XBOX but you DONT use the 'play game/dvd from dvd drive option' .. Smile

You should have another option in your evox menu that says something like 'Games on HDD' or something like that.. You have to reboot your xbox before evox will scan the E:\Games F:\Games directory and show the game in the menu.

Then you should be able to start it without any DVD in the tray..

To get the trainers to work correctly you have to turn TSR=ON in your evox dashboard.. Personally i dont use trainers but i hope that helps you in the right direction.

ok, thanks for your help. so, here's where i'm at. i did what you said, and is seems the only way i can play the game from the HDD is to set TSR to disabled. so, this really really sucks for me. so really there is no need to have the game on hard drive since i already own the game, right? is there a way around this little problem of mine? why does TSR have to be disabled? why, oh why, can't i use the darn trainer on this darn game? i have no issues with any other trainers. uuuugh! stupid flippin trainer! gawd!
