Ok so im trying to fix an error 16 code(Clock cannot set) . So far every tutorial i have seen is on how to do it with a mod chip, is there any way for me to do it without a mod chip?

Once you get an error 16 (I assume you didn't install a valid new MSDash to be able to set the clock properly), if you don't want to use a MOD chip, your options are limited:

1) Do hotswap method.
2) Borrow a friend's XBox HDD with a good MSDash.

ypu can't use someone else hd , a softmodded xbox and retail xbox needs a locked hd (locked with eeprom from the xbox)

Right, sorry. Meant if they had the eeprom.bin for their friend's drive you could unlock it, but forgot he also didn't have his eeprom.bin to relock it to his box. Grin. So...back to option #1. Grin.
