Ok, so I soddered in the chip. I've gone over the diagrams a million times. All wires are in the correct place, all sodder points are good, etc. I even checked all the wires with a volt meter...all good. When I turn on the xbox, either by the power button or by the eject button, the xbox blinks red/yellow, then shuts off. It automatically repeats the same process again and then stays on, all the time the light alternating between red and yellow. I hear the HD start up, but nothing comes up on the TV, no errors or anything. The light just continues to blink. The blue light is on, so yes the aladdin is getting power. I'm at my wits end and don't know what to do. Anyone who could be of any help would be much appreciated. Thanks for your time.

I have been working like crazy to get my chip to work....my chip does the start up red orange green thing like its suppose to when you hold it for the 2 seconds or whatever it is, but I get no blue screen to come up like i have heard about. I had some wild times trying to find the right diagrams....i had a problem with the do point on the motherboard, there are 2 different ones, make sure you use the one on top.....some guy told me i needed to ground the motherboard too and thats what got his to work, but when i did it, my xbox freaked out....but maybe it would work for yours, use the do point on the bottom side of the xbox and then run the wire to the top side of the motherboard and use a terminal aka the u shaped metal piece and screw that down under one of the screws to ground it.....that might work for you....it didn't work for me but yet again i am not sure if i have mine installed correctly....let me know how you have yours soldered, what do point did you use and did you ground the motherboard. thanks

I used the D0 point that the directions on aladdin's website said to use. Meaning, the one on top of the board. I'll try the one on bottom and see if that helps. Could you point me to it? I don't know where this other D0 point is. I did not ground the motherboard...I'll also try that. The weird thing is that I don't even get the correct lights on startup. When I disconnect my D0, the xbox runs fine, when I connect it to where the directions say, the xbox won't even start. I'll let you know what happens when I try the other stuff. Also, did you succesfully find other directions besides the standard ones on aladdin's site? Their directions kind of suck for the 1.5 (and in general)...so if there are some more detailed ones, I'd love to take a look at them.

Hey brabus
one thing to try is to disconnect the (L1,L2,BT)
as long as you dont mind lossing the diffrent boots.
Had that problem once with that chip and when I disconnected thoes wires it worked great.
Hope this helps you out
