This is the last post on this topic !!!
Can anyone explain this............
The m$ dash that loads has only 3 options -
The xbox live option is not showing !!!
WHY ????
also I tried to softmod this baby out of curiosity......it booted SC ok but when i loaded the LINUX installer I got a nice black screen.
I rebooted and it booted the m$ dash up as before. Must admit after a crash installing the LINUX exploit i though it would be buggered !!!
Any ideas ????
Anyhow gave it back to my mate in full working condition !!!!

It's because you didn't install anything from my package, you need to do more than just boot it. Funny how it doesn't boot for you either, coz I've used SID on many different xboxes ranging from 1.0's to 1.6's and never had a problem with the game booting the gamesave.

Hi DJB,
Sorry I wasn't detailed enough -
I loaded the SID SC exploits via memory card into the funny xbox -rebooted - booted SC game , loaded the linux save and......black screen. It didn't load the SID menu as it should. The xbox then booted to normal m$ dash when restarted.
Dunno why, I have used the same Memory card 3 times for softmodding and had no problems until this beast of a box.
Why would the 'xbox live' feature also be missing off the m$ dash.
I was glad to see the back of this one, but at least I improved it by cleaning it out. My mate was well pleased.
By the way your SID / AID pack rules......DJB you are a GOD !
One Q - using AID on a softmodded box is it ok to install the APPS and DASH'S from the main menu - not the softmod section ???
Also how can I change the dash ? I am curently using evox do I have to install another over it or can I put it somewhere else ???
Thanks again !! _________________

This is weird, because my SID installer should boot on any xbox as far as I know, and like I've said I've tested it on countless versions of the console.

Something else I'm not too sure about, and once again something I haven't encountered yet.

Hehe, thanks
If you use AID on a softmodded box, you can install the Apps and Emulators from the main menu, but you MUST install the dashboard from the Softmod section, this is because the config files are a little different to what they would be for a chipped box.
To change the dash just simply install your new choice of dash over the top of where you installed evox, it should work for you.
Hope that helps...
