During installation, both softmod and Evox come up with Unrar errors. This of course, kills the xbox. But If I boot with a disc in the machine, it will load the disc, giving me the opportunity to reload the installer and restore my backups.
Anyone have any ideas on how to to fix this?

Got it.. I used a WORKING copy of the files from the AID 2.11 package. and discarded the old batch of files.. so far so good.
