i dl the latest auto installer deluxe burned it to dvd and it works fine in my xbox but i think im having probs with the hd so my question is if i run the option for format/hdd prepare will that install it to original dash after it formats? i just need to know before i even atempt it and im new here and hi

Follow this exactly no exceptions.
1. backup m$dash
2. backup eeprom
3. reinstall softmod
4. install patch 5690

no the format/prepare will not reinstall the M$ dash, it will format (obviously ) and setup the partitions. afterwhich you will need to install a dashboard
