Smile Hi All

I'm looking at softmoding a mates Xbox that’s got s--t loads of game saves.
When I done my first soft mod I removed all saves and loaded them to pc prior to installing the softmod as some site's suggested to do so.
Some sites also recommend that you remove all saves for splinter cell, mechassault or whatever exploit you may use if you have any.
Is it necessary to remove any as they are on E?

The way I see it, original game saves are on the c: partition. When you do a softmod that partition gets erased. That's why you back up the m$dash and do the patch. The patched dash still has the game saves and any music you uploaded. Now if you want to do anything else to c:, that when you backup the game save to the pc. If they are on the e: partition, I don't see any real importance to backup the saves from that.....unless you're one of those who like to erase e: for a challenge. Rolling Eyes

Regular Gamesaves are on E:\ Udata, pretty sure its U not T.
You don't, but as long you backed them up you should be fine, their is always that chance of them getting corrupted or formatted off the E:.

Your music is also stored on the E: but I think that is in Tdata. You know, I should really memorize this stuff. Lol.

Thanks to you all

Another bit of an insight into the way a softmod acts.
As I thought the E: was always there and that was part of an M$ HDD partition for game saves and music files.

Cheers

look for the hex value/directory of /E/TDATA/fffe0000/

Another tip:
Go and download XBOX SAVES MANAGER.. You can save your xbox saves to your pc.. Im not sure if it has to be modded already or not though..
just check it out as it may save you some time.

cheers,
