OK, it's my turn. I just got a v1.0 box. I had a HDD waiting for it, so I installed my solderless Ice chip and the HDD, then booted to the Xenium OS. The HDD has been softmodded. I read the eeprom and locked the HDD. Then I took off the chip and tried to boot from the HDD but got nothing. No audio or video but solid green. It does the same thing with a game disc in. My guess is a bad kernel or bios. What say you??? _________________ Xenium Ice 2.3.1 OS

It's not the video setting because it works fine through the chip. It only happens when I try to boot from the retail bios or without the chip. In the system settings of EvoX, it lists the bios as unknown. Is there an application that will flash the bios on the mobo? _________________ Xenium Ice 2.3.1 OS

The evox can't recognize certain bios that are newer than the version you are using like say the M8. So it's saying unknown is no biggie. I was wondering if that was the same thing. I guess I'll read up on that too. I just wanted to be sure that's what I needed to do. This was my thought process:
Have a beer...."maybe I need the patched m$dash on c:"
-load up AID and install dash
Smoke a dube..."maybe the clock needs to be set"
-load m$dash and set the clock
Munch on chips and more beer..."works fine with the xenium, won't even boot games without chip. Doesn't even get to the flubber screen. Hmmmm maybe it's a bad bios?"
