yes, go to http://teamxlink.co.uk/index.php go to downloads seccion, and download the client for your OS, and make an account, this is actually better than xbox connect.

now yes you can join games via crossover, to dial modem, but i must warn you that if you host games, only allow 3 ppl max, due to lag issues, and if you join games with too many ppl, you'll lag like hell and f#&@ up their game. **you've been warned*

good luck, and don't ask how to set up the crossoever, i haven't done it O_o

I doubt very much the games will run over 56k..
Personally ive never tested but the amount of lag you get with ADSL alone is bad so im guessing dont waste your time.

Get a ADSL/Cable connection before you want to game online.

anywy, just my 2 cents.

I don't think there is any point on trying to play online with dial up, your experience will just be shitty and you will most likely be kicked out of most games for lagging up the server.

You can try if you want but your going to get frustrated with the very frequent lag...

maybe you could try and play World Championship Poker or some game like that, but i'm guessing you'll be kicked from most games

Negtive- i dont know what your smokeing nKnave but there is NO WAY in hell XBC would allow you to connect to its servers running a dail-up (trust me- it checks your speed before you get on)
It will give you an error talking about and min. speed rate (i think an ISDN connection) but through dial-up...no.
But if you mean DSL- *which works by means of normal phone line* Then yes- but that isnt dail up now is it?

you CAN Play games online with 56k just dandy.

the main thing is you need a GOOD ping. generally for DSL/cable your ping to your ISP is about 50-100ms on a 56k it is 100-400ms.
bandwith is NOT an issue with many xbox games and halo2 being one of them!
i have played online (xblive) with a 26.4k connection speed! and a ping of 120ms to my ISP. i played with 4 people, me being NON-host and lag free. my ping was 3yellow - 4green.

halo2 onlyl uses about 2kbs upload and 1.2kbs download (per a person)

voice chat uses about .8kbs upload. it worked just fine.
when all 3 people talked i downloaded around 3.5kbs

i have used it with satilite and the ping is much too high.....
even though i had upload and donwload of 80/20kbs

you should be able to play a 1:1 with dial up.
you just need a good ping and a steady connection.
most people who have 56k have tons of programs running sucking what little bandwith they have.

and i did some tests. seems as host you need 2kbs upload per a person. ubut that number changes a bit based on that map... i would say 1.5-3.5kbs depending on the map...
