sorry for the extra topic, but I figured it wasn't on topic with my last topic, so I'd create a new one(that was a mouthful)
ok, if I take a harddrive out of a softmodded xbox, and put it straight into a stock xbox, will it work like normal? considering all the hacks/apps are on the HD, I don't see why it wouldn't...

The drive has to be locked for the softmod to work, so taking it out of the xbox that it's locked to would render the disk inoperable. _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th

Nope, all softmods need hardrives locked to the particular eeprom on the mobo. Think of it as if the mobo and hardrive are married to each other. To read the eeprom from a mobo, the box needs to be chipped or softmodded.
